    Convert 440 3ph to 220 3ph

I've come across a cold saw for a good price I would like to buy. How much trouble and expense would it take to convert it form 440 3ph to 220?

    Thanks,

The simple way would be to use a VFD (variable frequency drive). If you spec the correct drive you can put any voltage in and get any voltage out. Just make certain the drive is large enough to provide the amps you need.

Have you checked as to whether it is a dual voltage motor? If so it is just a question of changing the terminal connections to suit.
