    Creating Drilling Cycle

    I am using Autodesk Inventor Pro 2008 with OneCNC XR2 Mill, and am trying to drill about 1200 holes to create a vaccuum table.

    Is there any other way to create this toolpath than to individually select each point to make a drilling cycle? Is there some way for OneCNC to recognize points from Inventor and select all the geometry?

    Should be no problem..are you using the Hole Feature Recognition??

    It will find points..

    Do you have an XFA file??

    You could also post over at the user's forum..

    Have a look at Post #8 in this thread;

    I give a program that can be changed to do any size of hole array.

    wms, how do I import the points into OneCNC from inventor? They don't seem to be saved into an IGES file. I created a rectangular array of center points in Inventor. Are these read by OneCNC?

    Geof, I have never used direct code. How would I use your program to create an 9x8 array of holes .25" or .5" apart?

    I figured out how to do it, it is so simple once I started to look. I just found the hole pattern grid command, and then used the hole recognition feature.

    You should be able to figure it out from the description I gave. I am off on vacation for a couple of weeks. If you have not figured it out by then and do really want to know I can give a longer explanation.
