    cuttting head?

I have built a small cnc desk top unit, similar to bigbears design, what are the pros and cons of a roto zip or a laminate trimmer (router) ?
This my first entry into cnc, I would appreciate any help from the more experienced.
    Thank you.

Laminate trimmers are generally better build quality(try and get one with variable speed). Also you can use a variety of different cutter arbours 8mm, 6mm, 1/4" and with an adaptor 3.2mm.

i would think that something like the rotozip will really limit your choices on cutters, as well as i think that there will be a considerable amount of slack in the bearings, and this may cause problems with high accruacy projects... i would allso think that the laminate trimmer would be considerably better built, and would probably last you longer, and be able to work considreably harder for you when you need it to....
