Did we do the right thing?

Our shop is a simple sheetmetal "job shop". We have had a bridgeport ez-trak for a while now and have only used it for simple jobs like modif. our brake tooling for a part and other "small" jobs every now in then. Since we have been talking about taking on more complex maching and not farming it out anymore, we bought "BobCAD" to talk to it. Any one know if they are really a decent CAM maker or did we maybe wast our money?

    Hi Crispymetal-Fab

Bob cad has been around for about 20 years if it was no good it would not still be going

It's like any software if you don't understand how it works it's not going to be any good to you if you can learn it you will be happy with it I don't have it my self but have used it & it does a good job for what it cost The cam software my 8 year old & I use cost more than $12,000 so learn it & use it & get help when you need it

Wouldn't be my choice but i am sure you can make BC work.
However they definitely "march to the beat of their own drummer" compared to the rest of the CAM world.
