We have a Digital Tool Meta Machine DR904. I have found out that this company is out of business now. Upgrades were done to the machine before we purchased it.
My table is ~1/64 out of square diagonally when I cut a 12x12" square, which for cutting MDF, Melamine and Blue DOW foam that is accurate enough for our work. I just went 3d with it last week and now when I cut a 12x12" 3d tile it is off 1/4" diagonally.
I have programmed the same tile to cut in .05" steps and in .125" steps. With both cuts I have roughly the same 1/4" off of square.
I have checked all belts and connections for something being loose and haven't found anything that could be wrong.
We currently are programming with Bobcad v19 and doing the 3D work in Rhino3D.
My part is square in Rhino.
I have checked the code to see if I am loosing the dimension somewhere in the numbers, but I could not find anything that seemed to be off.
Attached are some pics.
Has anyone had similar problems? Any ideas as to what it may be? I thought it was my X axis gearing, but I went in and checked all that yesterday and couldn't find anything wrong.
