    disk boot failure

I'm Peter from germany, I run a Protomill with Centurion control in my shop.
I changed the simdisk battery due to low voltage. Since that the control doesn't boot any more, there's the message DSK020100010000 disk boot failure and the control tries to boot from drive c:. By going with key F1 to DOS and start the CNC program manual, it all works fine. Is there any possibilty to solve this booting problem?

    Thank you, Peter

You probably need to re-configure the CMOS settings.

Unfortunately, there are too many computer variations to give you the exact settings, but I would start with the Boot Order.

We built up a new simdisk from scrap-parts, i loaded the parameters and checked the cmos settings but the problem was still there......more or less by accident i plugged out the external keyboard.......since that, the machine works as normal.Later i found a stuck key on the keyboard.

If you need help in Germany contact Bernhard Braun. He is / was the Milltronics dealer in Germany for many, many years.
[email protected] sorry I do not have Bernhards phone #.

PM me for more parts info.

    Re: disk boot failure

Hi Sportyob, I already talked to Mr. Braun....my machine seems to be his special friend. If something makes problems in my shop i try to solve them with my knowledge...also to learn about the systems i work with.
In this case I destroyed the old simdisk by soldering a new battery to it. I bought some old milltronics boards as package in ebay, there were two simdisks.....I changed the Eproms to a new board, got some new SRAM-IC's and a new battery on it and now, with plugging out the external keyboard, everything works like on first day.
