Hi guys,

I basically have a part that is just slightly too large in diameter for my outside roughing tool I usually use.

The idea was to use a inside roughing tool, placed upside down in it's support, and turn the spindle backwards for the cut. All good so far.

I programmed the machine, I defined a new roughing tool for exterior cuts that copies all the parameters of the inside tool I wanted to use. But when I run the program I get an error about tool change point.

The error is "correct tool change point; tool tip in"


Any ideas? Thanks, in advance!

You should be able to call DMG MORI support and they should be able to help you out. Never had an issue they could not walk me through on the phone if it was a programming or control question.
