Hi everyones, we are a small cnc shop I got a daewoo puma 230
lathe and 1 cnc milling johnford , we are looking to add a daewoo lynx 220 lc so I first check for used machine betweed 2 3 years old but could not find anythings , so we are looking for brand new, problem I am facing now is that a seller for yama seiki told me the lynx is made in china now so the quality is very poor , they ask me 65 k for the machine brand new if I buy that I will be very tight on budjet so I will need a reliable and good productive machine , So what are your tought? what would you do if you were me ? Is there any other machine same size I should look at? Thanks!

the doosan lynx is NOT made in china, made in south korea!!
that a 200% quality higher than china....

i think the guy who's selling you this machie has made a minor mistake.....
we're doosan dealer and sure about the lynx!

I am looking at the lynx 220 series as well. I am looking at the gang tool option and the turret option for high volume turning. I am leaning towards the gang tool. Am I giving up any rigidity in the machine by going with a gang tool option? Is the turret more rigid, or does it not matter? I need to drill a fairly deep hole in my part, not anything with a tight tolerance, just 10 times diameter. My interest in the gang tool is faster cycle time and less things that can go wrong in the future. Thank you.

We are the Dealers in India. Doosan Lynx Series are made in South Korea. Changwon. Not in China

I know its argumentative but doosan are infact building lynx 220's in China! However they are only for sale into china and it is done so they do not have to pay the heavy export tax into china ! any lynx supplied to anywhere other then China is manufactured in Korea and will be for a long time to come!

all doosan machines exported to other countries are made in south korea changwon plant. we are dealers for DOOSAN machines in the Philippines so we know because every year w visit their plant. Even if the machine is made in China,the quality will be the same as the one built in South Korea.If others have question for their old Daewoo machines, feel free to post. maybe we can help because we have been servicing them since 1996.

Lynx is a good machine. We have ran it 10 yrs in 2shift work.
It's still accurate & good machine for small pieces.
If you install barfeeder, pay attention to that.
