    double recheck on sub - M20

    hi

    just wanting to rechuck a part on the sub to support a part,

    i have turned it down and done a support pickup to 40mm on the part to turn the rest down with milling using G750 already,
    now i want to unchuck it and move sub Z down the part further and rechuck on it. want to move along to chuck 80mm of the part now.

    whats the best way to move sub along the part more so i can better support for cut off?

    will a simple $3 , open chuchk, command a Z move to z80, close chuck?
    will the main spindle Z stay put?

    thanks, rob

    YES WHILE IN G750 MODE IF YOU OPEN THE SUB AND COMMAND Z80 IT WILL GO TO Z80. BUT THEN TO RECHUCK ON THE MAIN SIDE YOU WOULD COMMAND G710 MODE TO MOVE MAIN BACK WITH OUT SUB MOVING. IN $3 COMMAND G710 W0 OR WITHOUT (W0)

    EXAMPLE
    $1-----------------------------------$2 -------------------------------- $3

    G750(SUB-SUPPORT)-------G750 OR G750U1-------------G750U1W1
    M3S1=500M24S2=500---------------------------------------------M16
    G4 U1. ------------------------------------------------------------------G4U1.5
    G114.1 H1 D-2 --------------------------------------------------------G0Z-.1T0

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------G4U.5
