    DPRINT with EThernet

I am trying to send some variable Values to the Shop PC using the DPRINT statement, cant get anything through seams it dose not comunicate with the PC at all.
We have a Fanuc 16i controller that is hooked up through the Ethernet connection with the PC.
Up and downloading Program files works just fine is the something different when using DPRINT statements?
Anything that can be set up to communicate?

I do not think you can output dprint thru anything other than the serial ports.

At the very least I think you will need specific software on the PC to do this.

I might try to run a serial cable to the PC next to the Machine.
Got to see if it is close enough.
What Program could I use on the PC to receive the Data?
    Settings on the Fanuc?

I have used 100 to 150 ft runs at 9600 bps without trouble. I just wire up some bulk cat5 ethernet cable with the right plugs on each end.

The PC has to match the control settings... usually somewhere in the 10 to 200 parameter settings. As for software, just about any pc terminal software would work, but I suggest one of the free DNC type programs out there.
