Re: Drilling 316 Stainless Tube with U-Drill
hi, when drilling, u-drills tend to bend; when turning, they also tend to bend, but less then a normal id tool
the shortert the tool, the better the productivity, since longer u-drills will bent more
they can be found in lengths from 0.7 - 1d, 2d 3d 4d 5d
some vendors delivered also 6d, but i they are even more unstable then a 5d, and 5d are less unstable then a 2-3d
u-drills, because of bending, can not hit depths as big as a normal drill ( integral or single insert )
drilling 316 Stainless Pipe, 3mm wall section, with a 38mm Kennametal U-Drill please
if it is a pipe, why don't u use a id tool, instead of that drill ? kindly
ps : what is pipe id size before cutting, what id size is desired after cutting, and pipe od size
