DRO numbers for x y and z axis don't make sense to ome

I moved my y axis, for example, and it moved about 700mm (27.5 inches) from home and the display DRO for the y axis on shows 18.5 I don't understand. It's not mm or inches. What does the number mean? Oh, I am new to all this in case you had not guessed :-)

Whatever units are displayed would depend on whether G20 (inches) or G21 (mm) is in effect. If it's not matching, make sure you have the proper steps/unit in motor tuning to correspond with the Native Units setting.

Thanks for the reply. On the Z axis I have a 3/8" x 12tpi acme screw! shapeoko - Shapeoko 2 - Acme Upgrade

On the y and x axis I have a shapeoko 2 mechanical kit.

The best numbers for the x and y axis I found are here The Shapeoko Forum ? View topic - Caleb's Shapeoko 2 #3164.

It runs on a GT2 Timing Belt Pulley. 20 Tooth, 8mm bore.

Where do I enter the numbers and what do I enter? I will try to read the manual on this but I had a look and it is confusing.
