    dynapath stuck

    Hi,
I have a lagunamatic 310 with a Delta Dynapath 40 controller and it had a power supply failure and was modified by it's previous owner. It now hangs with the message "delta isa cnc bootload complete" on the screen but never finishes loading? Anybody out there who can help? I called dynapath but as soon as they heard my controller had been modified they were no help at all.
    Thanks
    Robert

    Robert,

Sounds like a memory board issue. Unplug the port connectors from the front of the computer (with power off, of course) and take the cover off. There are four thumb screws that hold the cover on. Inside the computer you will see that one of the plug-in boards has a bank of DIP switches on it. This is the memory board. Remove this board, clean the contacts and put it back in. Check the inside of the computer for dust, etc. and clean if necessary.

If this doesn't help, you probably need to re-load the executive software. Check and see if you have these disks somewhere (3.5" floppy).

    Regards,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,
Thanks for the sage advice. I'll try it first thing tommorow. I never recieved any software on disk with my machine. I looked on Dynapath's website for a download and they are primarily interested in selling new controllers not supporting the old stuff. If you have this software I would like to buy, beg or steal it from you if the first option doesn't pan out (cleaning the contacts on the memory board). Thanks again, this is the first positive news for me in a while .

    Robert,

The executive disks are serial numbered to your control. If you can't find yours, you'll have to call Dynapath with the control's serial number and pay for new disks. You will need to have a floppy drive on your control too, to do the re-load.
