    Dynomotion website forum credentials verification never received, message left and n

    Hello;

    This will probably my last try to get in contact with Dynomotion support. I own a Kflop and a Kogna board and would like to get some answers about the KMotiondotNet usage in C#. I think this is not the right place to ask the questions, but since I tried to register there and there was no validation email sent, any time I try to use my user name and password at their forum it says they are in use. Tried to send a message to the administrators there but, so far, have not received any response.

    I guess some smart people could have gone without support, but the examples in C# don't cover most of what I intend to do and we are not fluent in C, so trying to get responses looking at the C source code and examples will be a blackhole in time lost.

    My application requires 10 axis although the coordinated motions are done 4 axes at the time, xyza, xyub, xyvc, xywd, which will require to declare two 6 axis coordinated systems or four 4 axis coordinated systems to use at the time one of the movements are required. How to do that? What we are trying to do is to use Openpnp and Kogna to upgrade a 4 independent heads pick and place machine with a lot of air/vacuum valves, conveyor, analog sensors, pneumatic tool changers, etc. The inteface between openpnp and Kogna will be a software we are developing in C#, with a custom G code interpreter.

    Help in getting access to the Dynomotion forum will be sincerely appreciated.

    Regards,

    kreutz

    Hi kreutz,

    I understand Support re-activated your forum account. Let us know if there are any other problems.

    Our KMotion_dotNet Libraries currently support 6 Axes - XYZABC. But these Axes and be remapped to any of Kogna's 16 Axis Channels with the Coordinated Motion SetAxisDefinitions method.

    Its not entirely clear what you need to do. Do the multiple coordinate systems need to exist and perform motion simultaneously? As if 4 GCode programs were running simultaneously?

    Hello;

    Thank you for your prompt response!! I've already received the email with the right credentials to enter your site.

    The movements on the different Coordinate Systems will not be concurrent. There are 4 heads with two axis each (up/down 100W AC servo, and a rotational stepper motor), all mounted on a main carriage that will travel in X and Y, each head will pick and place components respectively at a location determined by the X and Y coordinates and a respective head offset. The head in use depends on the nozzle attached and the component type to place at the XY location. So only 4 axis will be active at a time. We will not be using your interpreter since openpnp requires a response for each Gcode command and the response depends on the command type, so we decided to use our own Gcode parser to do the task.

    Hi kreutz,

    So only 4 axis will be active at a time
    ok that should work.

    We will not be using your interpreter since openpnp requires a response for each Gcode command and the response depends on the command type, so we decided to use our own Gcode parser to do the task.
    You might be able to send a response with our interpreter with a custom MCode.

    But it seems like GCode, which specifies a path, would not be optimal for something like PnP motions.

    Good luck!
