    ElDorado Questions

Hey folks !! new to the forum with questions. Can antbody tell me the size/part # for the CNC stepper motor belts, Any help removing backlash on stock ACME screws, And the cheapest way to put a variable speed spindle motor on. Thank, I am in process of trying to convert to CNC on a very tight budget.

Just thought of another : Best way to square the Mill spindle to the table ?

Just got a chance to look at my machine, I've got steppers, and the belt that runs the long axis is 150XL037, the table cross slide is 120XL037 and the Z axis is 200XL037.

As for backlash, there are several sites that discuss this, Tangoromeo and The Alchimist both have stuff on it. The double nut just takes lots of trial and error to finally get it to an accaptable range.

Thanks for the reply, I had all but given up, was going to order from shoptask. But they have a backlash kit for the Z, do you know what this is ?
