    encoder cpr ?? g320

Im trying to figure out if these encoders are going to work, i.e. have high enough resolution i got some nema 23 dc servos with a us digital er2-250-256-i ... they are 250 cpr they have a and b channels..i read a post that said a gecko driver is x4 the encoder ie its 1000 steps per rev or is it the 250?

    my set up
    5 tpi ballscrews
    7.4-1 belt drive
    250 cpr encoders

    9250 steps per inch or
37000 steps if its x4 on the encoder??
