I have gained a lot of experience and im very confident on various star sliding head/swiss machines (Fanuc control) but I'm soon starting a new job where I will also be working on a Doosan Lynx 220lsy. I'm sure a lot will be similar to what I'm used too as this is also a Fanuc machine but does anyone have any tips or anything I should keep in mind when programming/running a fixed head machine opposed to a sliding head. One thing im unsure of is if there's some sort of rule of thumb for how much u can stuck your bar out from the jaws without it chattering too badly or flying out the jaws when I face it. Any other information related to Doosan lathes or fixed head turning in general which you think might be useful to me would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks all
