    You should be able to still get the manuals on line, the RS232 25p D is wired in a RS232 non standard fashion, also I believe you need to set the right communication parameters and use the 8025 s/w called DNC30 or Fagor s/w program.
    It has been a loooong time since I worked on a 8025.

    F8025 Pinout Diagram

    Hello,
    The attached file should help you.
    Use the bottom diagram (for PC/XT/PS2 - 25pin connector).
    Regards,

    Change Parameters

    First, do you have a copy of the F8025 manuals?

    There are codes to unlock the CNC control to make changes. Then you re-lock it when you are done with the changes. This actually doesn't apply to the RS232 serial comms settings, but it does for everything else.

    I have attached a manual for you, if you don't have it already.

    Check out Section 2, page 17 for the RS232 connection info. It may be better than what I sent to you earlier.

    Also, check out Appendix 1, pages 109-110 on how to change parameters.

    In order to change parameters you have to type it all in and hit enter. For example:

    P100=8 {enter}

    Then you have to turn the CNC off/on (or hit reset) for the changes to be remembered. It explains it in the manual.

    Hope this helps.

    What program are you using to communicate? If you're not using Fagor's WinDNC, I suggest using that because you can easily make sure it works by setting up the control for 9600 baud, 8 bits, 1 stop bit and no parity, and then set parameter 605 to 00111100, restart the control and then verify that DNC option is turned on.

    And to answer your question about jumped connections, yes 5, 6, 9 are jumped together on the 9 pin and 5, 6, 20 on the pc side fore the 25 pin connector. without those pins connected together, it will not work.
