False limit switch trigger after replacing router mount

I've been using my diy cnc router for about 7 years using a homemade wood router mount. I just today replaced with an aluminum mount and now am getting a limit switch trigger when cutting.

without a photo or other details my first thoughts are

either you have disturbed the limit switch or its wiring

or with vacuum dust collection static discharges to the new metal mount are triggering the false limit signal

Thanks John. Dust control is not hooked up yet but I believe it is router motor noise being transferred thru aluminum which mount I checked my denounce and was only set to 100 and changed it to 1000. It finished the cut last night so we’ll see. Thanks again.

You have noise from the spindle before it was isolated from the wood mount, Try adding a Ground wire back to the Main power supply input Ground all Grounds should have a star point

What type of spindle do you have and How is it wired ???

In Mach3 General Config you can make an adjustment to the Debounce this will help but won't solve the problem

Almost certainly ground loops and bad earthing practices. Read up on how to correctly ground all parts of the machine, especially the spindle motor and power supply.

Check the ground pin at the spindle is actually connected to something. Often chinese spindles have a forth pin but it is not connected. Connect to the body of the cable socket body.
