Question Fanuc Power Supply Internal Fuse Blown

I am working on a Daewoo Puma 12L-B with a Fanuc Series O-T control.

I was called in because they couldn't get it to power up. Everything kept pointing to the Power Supply Module (A06B-6087-H130). I opened it up and found that the internal fuse, F1, was blown. The book I have lists it as a 7.5 amp fuse. I pulled out a 5 amp fuse. I believe the type of fuse is a Daito HM series. Not positive.

    My questions are:

What caused this fuse to blow?

What is the correct amperage for this fuse?

    Thanks,

    Heath.

It sounds like the fuse is too small, I'd try the 7.5 amp fuse first. If it blows, it could be any kind of electrical short causing the fuse to blow. Then you will need to start off disconnecting all the cables from the power supply and reconnecting them until the fuse blows, from there you should be able to find where the problem is
