    Unhappy Finding self intersecting geometry

I'm trying to create a loft, everything looks fine, but SW is giving me the "self intersecting geometry" error.

Is there anyway for SW to show me where it is, or how do I find it? I'm working off a DWG file and it's getting extremely frustrating.

If anything is there a way to "trace" the lines of the dwg file into new sketch planes?

    Thanks,

    Matt

Change the file type in the Solidworks Open File dialog, and you can open the .dwg file in Solidworks. Choose the option to import into a new part, and it'll open on a sketch plane.

Can't help you with the first problem.

Intersecting geometry is often found where it crosses over itself. Check the geometry and see if this may be the case.

You can move geomtry from one plane to another [parrallel] plane by using 'convert entities', it's in the sketch tool-bar as well as under sketch tools [IIRC]
