    Talking Flame Licker

I just got my plans from Jerry Howell to build his side shaft flame licker engine. This will give me a chance to play with my Taig cnc mill. I need more practice on it! Here is a picture of Jerry's side shaft flame licker.

    CNCadmin,
This still a learning for me! Still learning cad but getting there. It is finally getting easier! The great part about this is the accracy of this little mill is GREAT! The small holes in the frame are for bearings and they just press fit in there nicely! I couldnt have done that by hand. If I want a .071 hole I now can cut it perfect! I dont have any backlash at all right now!

    The Base

Finished cutting out the base today before work. still need to do more sanding and polishing. I need to drill holes in it too, for the uprights. Boy you really cant beat a cnc machine.

woodknack ... did you ever get any more pics on this one to post up?! Am interested in these things.

I am in the process of designing one myself, will put up another post about that in the stirling forum (i think that's the nearest description!)

    Cheers,
