    Flashcut Post Processor

Anyone out there with a Flashcut Post for Onecnc MillPro. Been using Bobcad but hate it. Everone seems to rave about onecnc. Can't try the demo without a Flashcut post.
Also does Onecnc suport Splines from Autocad.

    Hi Donny,

I don't see a post for Flashcut in the list of cfgs I have. There is a possibility that tech support might have made one up.

Phone them up and ask, but be ready with a list of the requirements of your machine's postings.

    Does Flashcut have unusual requirements?
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)

    Flashcut Post

    Donny,

Flashcut emulates a Fanuc 6 and therefore is very easy to setup if you want modifications or it can generally be run right from the get go..

Splines as wireframe are imported as arcs, but I believe the drawing must be exploded before export.

The XP series will also import 3D surfaces from AutoCAD using the SAT file format for users that did not opt for the AutoDesk iges translator.

If you need any other questions answered please let us know.
(As far as hating your current system, you aren't the only one, and more than you can imagine have switched to OneCNC).

    Regards,

    OneCNC

Thanks OneCnc. I didn't see a Fanuc 6 just a Fanuc. After getting rid of a few start and stop lines and editing the tools I got it to load in flashcut with no problems. It seems to simulate ok. I'll make chips tommorow and see if It runs smoother than my bobcad posts.
How do you create a V-bit in the tooling library?
I like the NC portion of Onecnc but not sure about the cad portion yet. I like Autocad.
I was hopeing someone had a custom Post for Flashcut but I guess it looks like onecnc is very customizable and you can start with something close.
