    flowline plunge

I am trouble with plungeing into a cavity I have made to do a flowline. My cool drags down the side of the cavity that has already been cut leaving a small groove. I have editted the g code of the program to fix it but, there has to be a way to control entry point in a flowline toolpath. I have v9.

Ahh. Another reason why I rarely use Flowline. I only use it for open ended channels. With out knowing the topology of the surfaces it's hard to make any suggestions, but have you tried using Scallop toolpath? Might work better. Or Finish Project with the Blend Options.

    Hello,
I use flowline all the time without any problems. Usually like Mike says though "Open channeles". Try making the surface you have already cut a CHECK surface. And tell it to leave at least .0001 on the check surfaces.

    Just a thought.
