Like Formica? If so, it would be more like Delrin or some other plastic - MUCH faster than aluminum.

I would expect on the Tormach, you probably want to run both spindle and feeds about as fast as the machine will allow. I cut many plastics at well over 100 IPM. You might also find a straight-flute carbide endmill or carbide router bit will work better than a nromal endmill, and have less tendency to chip the edges.
