    G-code generation software

I am looking for a easy to use g-code generator for making different shapes , pockets round and square bolt paterns . ,.. etc
    Thanks

the lowest cost "G-code generator" I know of is Visual CamScript or Personal APT from CNC Focus Home Page which comes with a customizable post-processor. It's $200-300 range.

APT is a fortran - like scripting language that's been around since the 1960's and is the foundation for many of the CAM software packages today. VCS gives a graphical interface much like software I used (20 years ago) that cost $20,000 or more.

Try dolphin cad cam. You could get software that will help tremendously for under $200.

If you are using Mach, try the wizards for pockets etc..
If not, I have made a software to generate gcode for different stuff. It's still in development, but there is currently gradation, pocket milling, face milling, hole circle, hole rectangular pattern, drilling, profile etc..
I'll send it for free if you need it. It's still "under construction" though.. And I'm constantly making changes to it.

    CNC G Code Generator

    Hi

Here is a program I wrote to do just those kind of simple shapes.

The program does circular, rectangular, arc and pologonal shapes as pockets, shape rotation, start angle, sweep angle, X,Y scaling and a lot more, really easily and it is free.
G code is generated in real time after every change, and copied to the clipboard for pasting into a simulator.
Objects can be dragged with the mouse.

    Take a look

    CNC G Code Generator software

    Hi,

Since my last post I have copied the entire site from the old DE server, due to expire shortly, to a UK based one, much faster, no bandwidth limitations, less prone to visits from parasitic German lawyers , and wrapped the whole thing in a wordpress blog, making things a whole lot easier for me.

    you can find it at

    cnc-gcode-software.com

    Sorry for any inconvienience

    site legislation

    Hi Ron

Here in Germany, any online shop, website or even homepage needs to have certain information displayed, and within so many mouse clicks from any page.
These cover the site owners details, an imprint or masthead containing name address email and phone number in some cases.

If you sell anything then you must detail the rights of return and refund rights within a certain time period and make a statement about privacy.
A statement about who is responsible for linked content, copyright infringement, including logos, trademarks, banner advertising etc.
Getting any of this wrong can result in a letter from a lawyer, cautioning you and also fining you for the infringement, a so called abmahnung.
They scour the internet for these infringements.

I paid a German company 180 USD to have them produce a water tight impressum, as it is called here with, all my details in it.
The same company offered to cover the whole shop, only 8 pages and two of them for legal statements, looking for possible infringements for 800 Euro about 1040 AUD!, so scare people enough and you can make money.

Funnily enough, the German ministry responsible for providing an example template for an impressum, had an error in it and was also duly cautioned.
Another thing to avoid is a well known web analytics tool, this can lead to a hailstorm of fines for privacy infringements.

This is the reason why I deleted the German pages in my website, and have since moved everything to a UK server and will delete the old one.

There was also a time, when after they had changed the templates again, a whole flood of questions from ebayers resulted, who were running an auction where the information they had displayed was now invalid and would remain so until the end of the auction in 3 weeks time! and who is going to pay?.

This has made a lot of people paranoid and has also ruined a lot, and if any of the information above is incorrect, it is probably because the have changed the rules again.
