A while back, I asked Billy of BDTools on eBay to make me a kit for the G0602 lathe I have had sitting in the garage on the floor for 2 years. He finished it the other day, so I am headed out to pick it up. I will post a report on accuracy, etc. once I get it installed, but it has ballscrews on both axes and looks like it'll do quite nicely. He posted a couple of videos for me to look at in case anyone's interested:

Pretty impressive design! No holes and you don't even have to remove the slide?!

Yeah, he apparently made it so no holes would have to be drilled/tapped and his demo used a G540 and 270oz motors. If the G540 can handle that with a bit bigger motors, I'll be thrilled because I already have G540s to use.

Any idea what the kit will sell for? I have been wanting to do a lathe project as well.

I also think I will be buying a G0602 when I can make room. Might sell off my 12 x36 to make room... not sure yet.

It looks like Grizzly just posted a new version of that lathe, too. It has a variable speed motor.

Nice looking kit. Do you have any pictures of it installed? What size of ballscrews does it have?
