    G0602 threading problem

I have had my lathe for a couple of years now and this is the first time I have had a problem threading. I have it set up to cut 14tpi but it is cutting closer to 15tpi, anyone else run into this problem? Not sure how to correct it.

I was using my buddies G0602 to turn and thread my G0704 ballscrews and mistakenly picked up the 46T instead of 40T change gear. It created a very close thread to what I was trying to achieve - didn't realize till I had the full thread form and placed a pitch gage against it and it didn't fit. I should have placed the pitch gage on after a couple scribe passes for verification, but I was in a hurry and it bit me.

The stamping on the change gear was very light and I mis-read the "6" for a "0"......dang!
