    Gantry Vs XY table

    What are the pros and cons of a gantry vs a xy table with a ridgid Z axis?
    This would be for a small setup ~15 inch table

    It all depends on what the intended purpose is or used for, if only 15" table, the rigid set up might give you a wider usage, the gantry method generally does not have the rigidity for decent milling.
