    Help... Fanuc ZeroT Communication error

Hi, I always have run the program serial go from a palm VII to load and recieve programs from my machines. I recently purchased a Palm Tungsten T, and I am having problems loading or receiving programs to or from the machine. The specific one is a fanuc zero T control. I recieve the error 085 communication error, and the palm freezes up. Can anyone help me out here.

    Thanks, Adam

If you are using a three wire serial cable, make sure the handshake is jumpered out on the Fanuc end, this often causes the 85 alarm.

The handheld has a 16 pin hooked up to it, that ends with a 9 pin serial male which connects to a 9 pin female goes through a straight through cat-5 cable to a 25 pin into the machine.

You might want to try a 9 pin to 25 pin cable that ends with 2,3 & 7 only, on the 25pin with 4-5 and 6-8-20 jumpered.
Depending on the software, you may need the 9 pin handshake jumpered also, which would be 7-8 and 6-1-4.
