Hi, sorry if this has been asked before, but I search everywhere with no answer.

I have a CNC4PC C10 breakout board for all my home and limit switches. Each
axis has its own seperate home and limit switch. When I home out my machine, my limit switches don't do anything. I can see them working in Mach 3, but it doesn't have any effect on the machine when they are pressed. Home switches work fine. The only reason I ask this is if my home switch would somehow not work, the machine will overtravel and would keep trying to go until it wrecked something to stop. I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I have an 1/8 difference between where my home and limit switches are in relation to each other so there isn't much room for error. Thanks for any advise!

Make sure the input pins for the home switches are correctly configured as home/limit switches.

You have 2 limits and a home on each axis? How are they wired? What pins?

Yes, I have 2 limits and 1 home on each axis. I have my X,Y,Z,and A home switches wired to pins 6,15,13,12. They are wired as NO switches. My limits are wired in series with each other on same axis. X limits are on pin 7, Y limits are on pin 8, Z limits on pin 3 and A limits are on pin 4. They are wired as NC. Limits all work fine if I jog machine and press one, or if I'm running a program and press one. It will stop the machine instantly, so I know they work. They just don't do a thing when the machine homes. I can see on the diagnostic page that they are working when I attempt to home machine. Home switches also appear to be working fine if I press one on the axis I'm homing, it will reverse motor till I let go and continue to next axis for homing. It dosen't make any sense.

You should check with Art on that. So the home switches work fine, and the limits work fine, but the limits don't work when homing. What about soft limits? Do youhave them set?

I don't have any soft limits set. You are correct when you said "the home switches work fine, and the limits work fine, but the limits don't work when homing". I'll have to play around some more with it and see if I can figure it out. Otherwise I'll ask Art as you suggested. Thanks for taking the time to try to help me! I appreciate it.
