    Highspeed servo drivers

Rutex has new highspeed servo drivers-

    R990H - High speed Step&Dir servo drive.

    100V/20A output for brush motors.

    > 1Mpps encoders speed.

    Quiet 19.5kHz PWM.

Hey those look pretty good, I guess they allow for much high running speeds?

I used 3 Rutex on a retrofit mill , they worked excellent.
I couln't get Gecko servo drives to work reliably. There error range wis too small, they smallest disturbance makes them fault.

    Hi Routerman,
I've been told by balsaman that you have used Rutex drivers and from what I see confirmed that I've done the choice. I have a small question though, what kind and make of feedback encoders did you use? Awaiting yuor reply.

The motors were large surplus tape drive DC motors with 2000 count encoders. The Rutex arn't a fussy drive. They worked even when the encode wasn't aligned well. Although I put them on a scope and adjusted them and they worked perfect.
PS: I know other people that couldn't get the Gecko to work reliably as well.
