first of all I am a student, 17, and would like to build a machine with 6 axises. I want to go with the Tslots extrude and do something like this setup shown below. how acurate do I need my stepmotor resolution to be to make parts for this local company http://www.semitool.com/indexc.html. I am thinking that with a 20 tpi with a gear ratio of 4:5 with a 1.9 degree stepmotor I should have a resolution of .0001 inches. Am I corect on that or what do you think.
any sugestions are kindly appreciated, the sooner I get help the less cars I have to wash, I can do something that I would like to do.
