    Re: Hoss's G0704

Excellent, thanks for that Hoss. I have another question, if you don't mind helping some more (I'm really appreciating it, most information seems scattered around and difficult to pinpoint).
I'm used to running Haas machines at high speeds and although I can program them with dynamic/high speed toolpaths and work all kinds of magic, this is my first adventure into actually making a CNC mill. I understand the mechanics of it but have little or no knowledge of the electronics side.
I (obviously) don't expect to ever have a home machine capable of the speeds I usually work with but I've seen some bench mills moving around quite fast and many others that just trickle along slowly. My question is, what would it take to get a BF16 moving at a similar rate to this X2?

Shipping might be a bit for you but a g540 package like this will provide good performance for x2's and the bf16.

Thanks again Hoss, now I know what I need I think I can source most of the gubbins listed there from the UK, the only thing I might have trouble getting is the Gecko controller. Will have to look out for something similar if I can't get one in UK.

    Hoss~

Is it my imagination or is this thread missing a ton of postings?

If I remember correctly it once had 3000+ posts and over a million views.

Looking at page 78, the posting dates end in 2010 and jump to 2014. They then jump to 2016.

At the very least the database needs to be re-indexed.

This was the original thread, the big thread is here that continued from this thread.

I'll close this one to avoid further confusion.
