Hi everyone!

I'm a newbie both in CAD and CNC world. I'd like to know if any of you have linked the CAD program CATIA to a CNC hot wire foam cutter machine. I know there are a lot of free software aviable for use with CNC machine, but I'm specially interested in using Catia to have my Catia designs cut with the CNC.

I don't still have my CNC machine, in fact I'm looking for information in the web in order to buy one or build it by myself, but this task is really difficoult: most of the sites I visited are complex and difficoult to understand for a newbie like me. I wondered if you have some interesting links for beginners in CNC (the parts this machines consist of, software using, how to link the machine to the PC, the requirements for the PC software...).

Yes it is possible.. though there are some
Variables you will need to understand…
Machine controller language (i.e.) m & G codes .. as to have the correct post processor when cnc code is created within the (CAM) software (i.e.)CATIA.. .. short and simple.. Yes it is possible.
