    Post Using Mach 3?

Only the homing a problem, or have you broken a limit switch wire?
Very easy to break. Look on diagnostic screen.
Super X3. 3600rpm. Sheridan 6"x24" Lathe + more. Three ways to fix things: The right way, the other way, and maybe your way, which is possibly a faster wrong way.

    Hi neilw20!
For what should I look in the diagnostic screen?
And if hopefully nothing is broken how do I setup soft limits?
    Thank you

Are you using mach 3? Go to the diagnostics page and see if the lights light up when you manually work the homing switches to see if they are working.

You might get better luck asking mach 3 questions in the mach 3 forum.

Homing is the same on all machines running Mach 3. There is documentation for the procedure with Mach. The basics are homing to a known location. Jogging to the extents of the machine and entering those numbers off the DRO into the soft limits area.
