I am hoping someone here has a copy of the controller software for an Intelligent Actuator (IAI) Super-Sel controller that I am trying to bring back to life. I believe the software is called SELWIN. Can anyone help?

Well...... I'll answer this for archive and search purposes. Calling IAI was helpful and they were able to send me the software. Still, I wasn't able to do much with the controller.

I have been reading their docs and it looks like this is a kind of "extended" relay ladder type of language - i.e not sequential, slow and a PIA but of course possible to use - if state = 1 then ...
Other docs seem to indicate the controllers are really sequential but multi threaded which is easy...
Did you get into it enough to know?

Any chance I could auto generate sequences with a C program and upload it to the controller - I.E. do they convert to the text format or document a binary format?

The software was sent to me for free, although they have a part number for sale which includes the factory disks and pc cable. I bought this used and had limited knowledge so I don't know the source of my lack of success. I was able to get the pc to communicate and do some limited tests of the IO functions.

I'm sure the programs are sent via text, but IAI doesn't publish the native language on their website and their docs are all about the software as the programming language. My ultimate plan was to load a simple program that would run automatically and allow me to use the IO as step and direction input for each axis. Too many projects and not enough time- I put it up on Ebay and moved on with my life!

I got an IAI robot with a SEL controller (SEL-G-2-AC-100.60). I am also searching the softwer for the controller, but so far IAI hasn't even answered me. Would it be a big favour if I ask you to send me the software? I would be really grateful, if you could do it. Thaks, Peter
