I have a turned part that I am trying to program for a lathe in Sprutcam. The part includes a convex curve that is a small segment of a arc with a relatively larger radius such that the curve almost looks like a straight line but is not. When I simulate the tool path, the simulation shows a significant gouge at the apex of the curve. The simulation shows that about .012 too much material is removed. I confirmed this by actually running the program to cut the part and measuring the same. I cannot figure out why I can't get Sprutcam to output the correct path. It seems like it knows the correct geometry since is shows the region as red in the simulation. Does anyone know what could be causing this? I mill mode I know there is and "in" tolerance that can be set to allow for an approximate path that takes a slight amount of part material away. I do not see any similar setting for lathe parts.

Thanks,
