    Internal R-thread same as G-thread?

    Hey!

I have a drawing with internal R1/4" thread, "everybody" says that it's the same as G1/4" (cylinderical, not conical). So, can I assume that internal R-thread is always the same as the corresponding G-thread, and the conicity of R-threads apply only to external threads?

    Thanks for a clarifying reply.

Never mind. R and G are the same - Rc is the tapered thread. There seems to be a lot of bad information around.
