    Kiwa Excel 610

I have a Kiwa Excell 610 with a Fanuc OM controller that I purchased about 4 months ago. I am a new machinist(finished school 1 year ago and have done an internship since) I am very new to learning about system parameters and how a fanuc controller works more in depth.

The question I have is with a problem I am having after rebuilding my ATC on this Kiwa Excel. Now that I have put the ATC back together I can't get anything to happen in the controller except to rotate the tool carousel and handle jog the 3 axis'. I can zero them up and everything seems to look ready to run but when I enter anything in MDI like an M3 and a speed or even an M19 nothing will happen. Before I took the ATC apart it all worked correctly.

I checked the spindle clamp/unclamp in the self diagnostics and it seems to be working correctly. I also realigned the encoder in the ATC when I put it back on.

Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

Assume umbrella-type carousel? Air pressure???? Any alarms? G28 and G30 positions correct?

Yes it is an umbrella changer. The air pressure is set to approx 73psi as per the owners manual. No alarms. I am not sure on the G28 or G30. I never messed with any of the limit switches on the spindle and haven't changed any parameters either. It won't do anything when I enter any codes in under MDI. It just acts as if nothing was inputted. The start button won't light up. the tool changer start button won't light up when toggled to jog. What I took apart was the 2 air rams on the top of the ATC. The one that moves the carousel up and down and the firing pin that indexes the carousel. Before that the controller worked fine.

Did you happen to damage any other air lines around the spindle area while working on the too changer? As I remember, these Kiwas were very picky about their air supplies.

I unhooked 4 of them to rebuild the 2 rams. 2 on each of them. I am pretty sure they are all hooked up securely with no damage. The light on the position sensor for the ram that moves the carousel up and down is on when the machine is powered up also.
