    I think the washer was placed on the wrong side leading to no preload on the bearing?

    I have an import double vise and when I over-torqued it, my snap-ring popped off. I really should use a known value when doing set-up work...


    I don't have any experience with Kurt vises so I cannot really help, sorry.

    Oh this pops off before any real torque can be even applied! I think I know why though. I'll upload my findings incase anyone gets stuck.
