    Lathe cadcam

Well, I have been yapping about getting a lathe in the shop for years and it finaly happend  . Its not even on the floor yet but I am wondering about programing. Everybody has told me over the years that you dont need cadcam for a lathe, but have allways used Surfcam for the mills. My understanding is Surfcam for the lathe is crap and I am wondering what else is out there.
    Thanks, Gary

PS The machine is a Hardige superslant with twin turrents. It has a fanuc 6tc control

    Kool,

OneCNC has a new XR lathe Program, (that is a update to their lathe offerings).

Solid modeling, canned cycle support, Nc manager, configurable posts, groove cycles (std and peck), drill cycles, boring cycles, parting cycles, tool library, CSS support, job time and setup sheet, verification with tool models, simulation, ETC.
