    light table!

I've been away from the 'zone for a while - bought a vinyl cutter and have been lost in that for a while..
I built meself a light table for helping to align layered stuff.. thought I'd share a pic..
6 bulb, twin ballast, F48-T12-HO bulbs..360 total watts when all the photons are charged! Baby puts some heat out, tho - will have to install some fans..

Tempered and insulated glass top..really helps avoid heat problems. but box is kind of warm - hence on when needed only, until fans get in.

    52" X 120" table - My height = no bending over/stiff sore back..on wheels!

It has an MDF top, but at least has a well-built bottom - it's built like a wall with 2X4 "studs" 12" OC..

Nice job! As I understood right - you did this device for positioning of different layers of vinyl films?
