    Looing for an odd bolt

Hello im looking for a bolt with threads on only half of it and no head. I could buy some hex head bolts and cut off the head but I would rather not it I don't have to.
The bolts need to be 1/2-13 aprox 3 1/2" long and threads on about 1" of the bolt.
    any suggestions would be nice

You could always buy 1/2" rod and thread 1/2-13 on the ends. That's a standard thread size.

I think what im going to do is just build a holder for the lathe and just turn off the head on some uncoated bolts
