Looking for input on type of laser needed to cut 3mm bamboo with no charring

    Hi All,

So we are looking for some recommendations for lasers that will be able to do detailed work cutting 3mm bamboo. The caveat is there should be no charring, we are hoping to get a golden brown look on the edges. We thought a hobby laser would be good enough to do the job, but it doesn't seem like it will be strong enough. Are there any recommendations on machines to look at? Will 90w be plenty to cut 3mm bamboo without flaring, or charring the edges? Thanks in advance for the help.

Powerful air assist will help minimize charring but since a laser burns away the wood there will always be some discoloration. Maybe a CNC router would be a better choice?
