Got this in my e-mail today. REALLY??
Mach 3 is made by ArtSoft. It is fully customizable and developable to run your machine as a controler. The mach 3 add-on for BobCad would be developed by BobCad as a partner product.
They are not the developer of Mach 3. Just the add-on for BobCad. Clcik the link.
If I were not already a Mach 3 user to know different, the e-mail ad, and link, sure looks as if BobCad is now developing Mach 3.
lol
does that mean that we'll now have to pay for mach updates , er i mean new versions

I just had to throw that in there , people always squawk about bobcad .
i thought that 4 was pulled from development , that was quantum or something like that , wasn't it ??
I suppose if the changes are decent then mach is already cheap enough . For what it's worth , mach3 seems pretty hard to beat (at least for the stepper machines)

It's a complete re-write. He's even hired another programmer to work on it. I don't think we'll see it for another 6-12 months, though.

ger21,
Mach4 will be compatible 100% with mach3? No need to re-set current set up.It's a complete re-write. He's even hired another programmer to work on it. I don't think we'll see it for another 6-12 months, though.
It will be a completely different program, so not likely.
