    Mach 3 Encoders ??

    Hello

Is it possible to use linear scale encoders with mach 3 ???

    Thanks

Mach3 does not accept encoder feedback. You could use servo drives which accept step and direction signals from mach3 and use linear scale encoders with them.

If there is any significant backlash present when using linear scales Without a dual feedback system, (motor encoder and linear scale), the result is usually high instability.

Unless OP is planning to use linear motors....
Or maybe he wants to use Mach as a DRO?

    Anyone's guess I suppose.
