Can You Guys help me too?
Can you run Mach 3 thru a USB plug in on a newer computer? If so How. Do I need a USB board to the 25 pin conection like I have seen for sale? Thanks in advance

A USB to parallel cable won't work. The only way to use Mach3 through a USB port is with an external pulse generator, like a Smoothstepper or Nc Pod.

I just got SmoothStepper 1.2 in the mail today but I'm a little bit confused after reading the manual. Do I have to set up Mach3 software all over again? There are three resistors but I don't know what they are for.

If I remember right, they are for if you decide to connect any external voltages greater than 5V.

There should be a reference for which resistors go with which voltages.

Keep it simple by keeping everything running off 5V if you are still stuck
