Cool Making an 24x18x.5 T-Slot plate!

Got bored this morning and walked into the garage, the next thing I new, I was making another T-Slot plate! It seems like everone wants huge plates, but my BP clone has a short table with only 24" of travel! So every now and then I order some MIC-6 plates form SpeadyMetals! The fixture I made for the smaller plates has been modified and improved, as it now has an 8" high plesiglas window on all four sides! This has really helped me keep all the chips out of the house! They really chew up the vacuume cleaner!

I now have 18 5-Gallon buckets of cast aluminum chips, shure whish I had a pickup truck to haul them off to the recycler!

The most popular plate sizes are 12x24, 18x24, and 24x24, One of these days I'll design some kind of lap joint to connect multiple plates together, so people looking for larges sizes can assemble one from my smaller ones!

I took lots of pictures too!

And I'll be watching. I have a roughly 5' x 5' machine that needs a T-slot table. Any ideas yet on what you'll use to hold the stock? The solutions I've seen in catalogs are way to expensive for what they are, IMHO. Thanks for the pics.
