here is my latest creation and let me tell you, dealing with heavy metal is ......well hard! yesterday i was so tired that i went out for a coffe. today is the 5'th day working on this preject and it is coming out nicely, the z axis i had ready made just needed to drill holes, the y axes got done and tested today, did precision testing on it and after 15 back and forth movements of 1 meter it parked itself on 0, that is measured with a scale of 0.01 mm, and it was expected to be like that since i am using 38mm NSK screws with double ball nuts. Again sorry for the pictures but my bro has snached both nikon cameras ( D50 and D5000 ) so expect better pictures tomorrow.Rails are hiwin 25mm so everything on this build costs an arm and a leg. Initialy it will be driven by NEMA 34 steppers and geckodrive G212 to be later replace by G320 and servos.
